'Honeycrisp' is not only becoming an orchard favorite, it is becoming a "must have" tree for the home fruit garden because of its big size,  versatility, sweet crisp taste and productivity as well as its remarkable ability to stay crisp for months.

   Bloom Time: mid Spring
   Mature Height: 12-16 ft
   Mature Spread: 10-15 ft
   Harvest: Large red & green fruit in mid to late September
   Zone: 3-8 - One of the best-growing apple trees for Connecticut along with Fuji, Gala, Macoun, and McIntosh.

   Pollination: Cross-pollination by a different variety of mid Spring blooming apple tree within 50 feet is key to its growth and success.

   Placement: Full Sun 

Nursery Stock Specifications:

               Pot Size: 7 gallon 

               Age: 3+ years old, fruiting


Fruit Profile:

   Color: Red with some green and a light yellow flesh
   Texture: Smooth, thick skin, moderately firm, very crisp & very juicy
   Taste: Very sweet with a nice floral finish & mild acidity
   Cooking: Great for cooking & baking, sauce, cider & hard cider 

   Origin: Minnesota
