Storm Shelter Daylily is an evergreen perennial with strap-like deep green foliage that remains evergreen in milder climates.  The large, ruffled mauve flowers with deep eggplant margins and massive eye against a contrasting yellow throat bloom in midsummer.  The fragrant flowers attract butterflies and pollinators.  Best bloom in deep and rich well-drained soils.  Drought and salt tolerant once established.
