The Story

Early Amethyst Beautyberry is a loose open deciduous shrub valued for its attractive fruits.  The mild green foliage has no fall color.  Clusters of tiny lavender pink flowers bloom in summer attracting bees and butterflies, then give way to bursts of bright magenta fruits that ripen earlier than the species and persists into early winter.  Best foliage color in full sun, but some shade promotes drought tolerance.
